How do I verify my residency?

What documents can you use?

If you’ve been asked to provide proof of residence, the following documents are acceptable:

  • Bank or card statement

  • Certificate of residence (issued by a government authority)

  • Utility bill

  • Insurance policy

  • Driver’s license or national ID (in some cases)

📝 This list is not exhaustive. You may provide another document as long as it clearly shows your full name and complete address.

What should the document include?

Your document must contain:

  1. Date of issue (no older than 6 months)

  2. Your full name and address

  3. Details of the issuing authority or company

  4. Official elements: issuer’s name and signature, official stamp, barcode or QR code, or a clear note that the document is electronic and doesn’t require a signature

Types of accepted documents

Official bank statement
A photo or full PDF file downloaded from your bank’s website. Screenshots or simple bank notes without address won’t be accepted.

Tax notices or official letters
Issued by government entities or authorities.

Sworn declarations of residence
Must be official documents issued by institutions (e.g. police, banks). Handwritten or unofficial documents cannot be accepted.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Incorrect name
The document must be in your name (the Libertex account holder), not a family member, partner, or business.

  • Missing information
It must include a full date, your full name, and an exact address

  • Cropped or partial documents
Make sure the whole document is visible and clear.

  • Old document
The document must be dated within the last 6 months.

  • Invalid documents
We don’t accept store receipts, partial service tickets, or any document without a date or address.
