What is SWIFT and how do I get it?

What is a SWIFT code?

🌐 The SWIFT code (also known as BIC) is an international banking standard that allows banks around the world to identify each other when processing international transfers.

Think of it as a unique "license plate" for your bank.

Where can you find your bank SWIFT code?

You can ask your bank directly for its SWIFT code. You can usually find it in:

  • Your online banking or mobile app
