What is the difference between MetaTrader Instant and Market?
Updated over a week ago

There are two types of accounts on MetaTrader, which have differences in the time of execution of the transaction:

1. Instant Execution method (instantly): the transactions are done by the price requested, or if the price has changed, the client will receive a 'requote'. A 'requote' is an announcement that the price has changed. It offers to open a new order with the new price.

2. Market Execution method: the transactions are made at the actual price, which is the market price at the time the request is created. If the price changes when the request is sent, the transaction will be completed anyway.

If the price for yourself is important at the moment of creating an order, we recommend you use the Instant Execution method. When the transaction is finalised using the Market Execution method, the closing transaction's role is very high. If you need to end the transactions quickly without 'requotes', we recommend using this method.

You may also have noticed that when you use the 'trade in one click' feature, you can close transactions by clicking the 'x' sign to the right of this transaction in the 'Operations' tab. However, with high market volatility, 'requote' conditions may exist. However, with this type of order closing, the 'requotes' tabs may not appear.

To avoid this, you can set the maximum deviation on a MetaTrader Instant account. If the price changes within the deviation, the transaction will be executed. You can install the window opening/closure of the transaction by clicking the 'Enable maximum deviation from quoted price' box and indicating the number of points you feel comfortable with.

Example:

You can also set a default deviation. To do so, click 'Tools', then 'Options'. On the 'Trade' tab, set the 'Deviation by default'.
