What is the difference between Instant and Market accounts?

In MetaTrader 4 (MT4), there are two main account types that vary depending on the order execution method. Understanding these differences can help you trade more efficiently and avoid surprises during your trading sessions.

1. Instant execution

This type of execution allows you to open a trade at the price you see on screen.

If the price changes at that moment, you will receive a requote. Here you decide whether or not to accept the new price.

🔍 Ideal for you if:

You prefer to have control over the exact price.

You don't mind waiting for confirmation.

You trade in markets with low volatility.

📌 Helpful tip: You can limit the maximum deviation you are willing to accept if the price changes slightly. Just check the "Use maximum deviation from quoted price" box when opening an order and adjust the points as desired.

2. Market execution

With this method, your order is executed at the current market price, without the need for confirmations.

This means that even if the price changes at the time you submit the order, your trade will still be executed at the best available price.

⏱️ Ideal for you if:

You need speed when executing.

You don't want to deal with requotes.

You trade in fast-moving or highly volatile markets.

One-Click trading: fast, but with caveats

You can close trades quickly using the “×” button in the “Trades” tab.

⚠️ Please note:

Even when using this feature, conditions similar to requotes may apply in volatile markets. However, when closing trades with one click, the requote confirmation window will not be displayed.
