You can change the password for your MetaTrader account at any time for security or personal preference.
Please note:
If you change your MetaTrader account password manually inside the MetaTrader terminal, it will not update in the "Credentials" section of your Libertex Personal Account. Ensure you securely save your new password, as it cannot be retrieved from your Libertex account later.
The password must be strong: at least 8 characters long, containing lowercase and uppercase letters, numbers, and special characters.
Desktop
1. Open the MetaTrader terminal and connect to your account by entering your login, password, and server.
2. Go to "Tools" > "Options" in the top menu.
3. On the "Server" tab, click "Change" next to the password field.
4. Enter your current password.
5. Select "Change master password".
6. Enter your new password in the "New password" field, re-enter it in the "Confirm" field, and click "OK".
Mobile app
1. Open the MetaTrader app and connect to your account by entering your login, password, and server.
2. Tap the three lines in the upper left corner and select "Manage accounts".
3. Tap the three dots in the upper right corner.
4. Tap "Change password" and select "Change master password".
5. Enter your current password.
6. Enter your new password twice and tap "Done".
