Realized P/L (Realized Profit/Loss) represents the final profit or loss obtained from a closed trade.
In other words, it is the final result of a trade that has been:
✅ Opened (initiated)
✅ And closed (finalized)
When is it considered "realized"?
Once you close a position:
If you sold for more than you bought → Realized profit
If you sold for less → Realized loss
The Realized P/L is added or subtracted directly from your total balance.
Example
Imagine you buy an asset for £100 and sell it for £130:
Concept | Value |
Purchase Price | £100 |
Selling Price | £130 |
Realized profit | £30 |
📌 That profit is considered realized because the trade has already been closed.
It's now part of your available balance.
What does the Realized P/L include?
The calculation automatically includes:
Entry and exit fees
Transaction or operating fees
So the value shown is the actual net result of the closed trade.
