Two stages in the us stock market hours
In Libertex Portfolio accounts, the trading hours for us stocks are divided into two main stages:
premarket
regular session
Premarket hours
The premarket runs from Monday to Friday during these hours:
from 8:00 gmt (or 9:00 gmt in winter)
until 13:30 gmt (or 14:30 gmt in winter)
Regular session hours
The regular session also runs Monday to Friday:
from 13:30 gmt (or 14:30 gmt in winter)
until 20:00 gmt (or 21:00 gmt in winter)
Liquidity and messages during premarket
Liquidity for us stocks drops significantly during premarket. That’s why if you invest or check prices right before the main session opens, you might see the message:
"No current quote".
